A leading multi-site logistics company now seeks a Customs Clearance expert for the role of Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist. Reporting to the Customs Manager, this is a hybrid role with attendance at their office based in Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career with support from other members of the senior management team. Having client-facing experience, a strong Customs regulatory understanding and the ability to interpret these changes to effectively contribute to the client's goals with regards to customs and trade compliance is key to the role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide Customs & Trade Compliance subject matter expertise support and leadership to the UK and Ireland teams.
- Practical support in the preparation and submission of more complex declarations.
- Completing and validating Customs compliant documentation where required.
- Interface with Clients, Carriers and Information providers to ensure all required information is received and understood.
- Assist with new customer implementation and drafting workflows and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years Customs & Trade Compliance experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to assess client requirements and present a gap analysis with solutions required.
- Excellent organisational skills and capable of working at a fast pace
- Strong PC Skills such as Excel / Word & PowerPoint.
- Excellent level of English Oral and Written is required.
- Professional and focused approach with a high level to attention and detail.
- Attention to analytics and conformance with defined procedures in tight timelines.
- Customer-focused with desire to always strive for excellence.
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude and highly ambitious approach.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Increased level of flexibility to meet timelines on reporting.
