Customs Clearance Agent

Our client, a leading Ocean Freight Forwarder based in North Dublin, is seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Agent to join their growing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for processing both import and export customs declarations and arranging transport for customer needs. 

Key responsibilities include:  

• Import and export customs declarations
• Liaising with Revenue, Customs and Agriculture
• Creating and discharging T1 & T2 documents
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Revenue
• Liaising with customers and clients
• Receiving and processing Import/ Export documentation 
• Creating CHEDS and making bookings with final destination
• Arranging haulage for customers needs

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of two years Irish customs import and export declaration experience of general cargo within a busy freight forwarding environment.  
• A solid understanding of customs rules, the SAD and the calculations required for correct data within each box.
• The ability to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders such as Customers, Carriers, Revenue, Customs and Dept of Agriculture.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
