Customs Clearance Operator

A leading logistics operator is seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Operator for it’s North Dublin facility close to the M50. 

Key Responsibilities;

• Provide an efficient and effective Customs clearance service, ensuring that administration procedures are carried out.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly metrics and reports for assigned customers as required.
• Undertake new tasks, in line with client development, as directed by the Customs Manager.
• Communicate with the operations department on a daily basis.
• Ensure company issues are effectively worked upon and closed within timelines.
• Ensure that all data sent to Revenue is fully accurate and authentic
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all customs related transactions
• Liaise with both internal and external customers and ensure all clearance queries and requests are resolved/followed through in a timely and effective manner.

Skills, Experience & Attributes;

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Import/Export Clerk role.
• Minimum 2 years’ familiarity and experience using Thyme IT software (essential).
• Experience of using Custom force /CustomWare application desirable.
• Import, Export custom clearances.
• Creating and discharging T1 documents.
• Strong knowledge of the classification of goods.
• Relevant experience in a similar industry is desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative.
• Ability to prioritise clearances.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication (both verbal and written) and    
• Self-motivated and proactive 
• Confident and self-assured
• Positive and flexible attitude
• Excellent PC literacy and keyboard skills required.
