Job Position

Established international freight and logistics company now seek to hire a Customs & Compliance Admin with Irish market experience within Customs Clearance. The main purpose of this new role is to support the Compliance function and to support the compliance initiative in all areas of our business, specifically in Customs & Trade, but also in group and local compliance policies.

Daily tasks will involve monitoring infringements to brokerage activity, follow up with relevant revenue districts and liaise with each branch to ensure all actions are followed through to completion. This role will evolve and the candidate will be required to become knowledgeable in the area of Customs and Trade within the freight industry.

Key tasks and responsibilities;

• Develop personal knowledge while training in the area of Customs & Trade compliance
• Review and develop knowledge of Customs legislation and Revenue requirements
• Attend external training programs and workshops in the area of Customs and Trade compliance
• Support the development of policies for Customs / Trade activities

Minimum requirements:

• Previous relevant customs experience within Ireland ideally with some freight operations experience. Some additional trade compliance knowledge would be beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
• Excellent analytical, presentation and organisation skills
• Excellent IT skills i.e. MS Office, Customs Clearance and Freight Management Systems
• Ability and interest to increase knowledge in customs related topics / legislation
• Flexible approach to commute between branches in Dublin, Cork and Shannon as and when required
