Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all transport and distribution operations, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives and service targets.
- Direct fleet planning, route optimisation and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and control costs.
- Drive performance management through KPI analysis, reporting and continuous operational improvement initiatives.
- Manage relationships with drivers, warehouse teams and third-party logistics partners to ensure high service standards.
- Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, regulatory requirements and health & safety governance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in transport, logistics or distribution management
- Strong understanding of route planning, fleet coordination and cost control
- Experience working within wholesale or supply chain environments preferred
- Good knowledge of compliance and transport regulations
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or inventory systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting
