Terms: Full-time, permanent, office-based, 7.5 hours a day between 8am and 6pm (start time depending on work volume) with one Saturday a month (9am - 1pm) with overtime paid. 
Package: €40,000 - €50,000 + Pension 

A long-established Dublin 12-based transport company now seeks an experienced Domestic Transport Planner. This is an ambitious, passionate and engaging company with an excellent reputation. The Successful Candidate will:

  • Assist in the completion of day-to-day planning and scheduling of collections and deliveries.
  • Ensure planning for the effective utilisation of resources in line with deliveries
  • Liaise with the Operations Team to update on service and scheduling issues as necessary
  • Monitor delivery timings and driver locations to ensure the smooth operation of the service
  • Be a point of contact for drivers on the road in relation to routes, deliveries or customer issues
  • Deal with queries from customers and respond promptly
  • Communicate effectively with drivers regarding their working schedules and routes
  • Provide first-class customer service, leading by example and assist in communicating standards to the driver team.

Essential Requirements and Qualities:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of similar domestic transport planning experience within the local market
  • Excellent local geographical knowledge
  • Highly organised with robust planning ability
  • Motivated and reliable
  • Ability to multitask while performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt in a changing environment
