Domestic Transport Planner

A growing logistics provider is seeking an experienced Domestic Transport Planner in South Dublin.
This role requires hands-on transport planning or freight operations experience, managing routing, scheduling, and shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily import manifests and booking requests in line with internal procedures.
• Coordinate deliveries to meet customer requirements in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate file management, including billing and costing within required timelines.
• Provide customers with updates on shipments, delays, or changes.
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners to resolve discrepancies.
• Follow standard operating procedures and complete administrative and reporting tasks.
• Prepare delivery and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Support operational projects when required.

Requirements

• Experience in transport planning, logistics, or freight operations (2+ years preferred).
• Strong IT and systems skills, including ERP and Excel.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding and UK/Ireland geography is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and team-focused approach.
