We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Customs Brokerage Supervisor. In this role, you will work closely with the Customs Brokerage Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the department within the branch. 

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently allocate workloads within the team to maintain smooth operations, especially during peak activity or staff absence.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, such as Operational Process Standards (OPS), and external regulations, including government regulations and customer policies/requirements.
  • Facilitate the correct transition of all new business.
  • Complete and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regularly.
  • Foster a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager, actively supporting compliance efforts and training initiatives.
  • Advocate for the use of productivity tools, including Edoc, Raft process management, Customsware usage/Expo customs.
  • Collaborate with other departments and customers to ensure timely shipment clearance.
  • Conduct file audits in accordance with Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) standards.
  • Utilize available databases (e.g., expo request, expo reporting) for client report requests.
  • Embrace and implement new system changes and enhancements within the department.
  • Participate in staff appraisals regularly, at least once per year per employee.
  • Ensure that new hires complete mandatory company training within the first 6 months.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the global logistics industry.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Specific expertise in Customs Brokerage.
