A Major Irish Transportation, Logistics and Warehousing company, providing services to several major national and multi-national clients, is currently seeing an experienced forklift driver for their Roscommon Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for the loading and offloading of kegs via a Keg Clamp onto trucks. This is a physical, fast paced outdoor role. Trucks will be loaded in accordance with specific customer requirements. When required, the successful candidate will assist the driver in delivering kegs to customer locations as well as maintaining paperwork for deliveries and returns.
Responsibilities:
- Scanning and offloading of inbound freight and ensuring all out turns are complete.
- Scanning and loading all outbound freight.
- Handle all freight with care to ensure zero damages.
- Ensure Company Health and Safety standards are always followed.
- General housekeeping within the department.
- Perform other adhoc duties are required.
- Ensure Transit Terminal is kept clean and tidy.
- Previous experience handling hazardous freight would be a distinct advantage.
- Understand your department’s action plans and support the goals and targets set out by your manager.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced transit terminal environment.
- Counterbalance Forklift licence essential
- Knowledge of freight scanning is a distinct advantage.
- Manual Handling Certified.
- Qualify Focused.
- Basic IT skills.
- A 'can do' customer focused attitude.
Type:
Permanent, Full time, Monday to Friday day shifts. Own reliable transport is essential.
