
A freight Forwarding apprentice is required for my client based in Limerick
The main purpose of the job/apprenticeship:
Apprenticeship is a 24-month programme, combining practical on-the-job training with study towards International Freight Forwarding.
Key Tasks of a Trained Freight Forwarder:
- Documentation and arranging domestic collections and deliveries
- Ensure expected customer service levels are maintained at all times
- Accepting and processing import/export and cross trade
- Communicating with our internal Team, overseas offices, and suppliers
- Manage and complete operational tasks, including issuing International Transport Documentation and arranging domestic collections and deliveries
- Pro-active liaison with network partners and suppliers to ensure timelines are met.
- Customer notification and coordination of problem solving and resolutions when required.
- Issuing quotations, invoicing, and supplier purchase orders. Checking and passing
- Suppliers invoices.
- Data quality management & reporting
Requirements:
- H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics (pass in English and Mathematics in the leaving cert)
- Holder of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics, distribution, and supply chain management, etc)
