A well-established and growing freight forwarding company based in Cork is seeking an Internal Freight Sales Executive to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in freight forwarding who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Generate new business opportunities within the Irish freight and logistics market
- Manage inbound sales enquiries and provide competitive freight quotations
- Follow up on leads and convert opportunities into confirmed business
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity within CRM systems
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in freight forwarding sales or internal freight sales
- Strong knowledge of import/export processes across air, sea, and/or road freight
- Experience working within the Irish logistics or freight market
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
