An established Irish distribution and trading business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to develop and embed a strong safety culture across multiple sites. This is a standalone, group-wide role reporting to senior leadership, with responsibility for building and maintaining the Health & Safety function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Group Health & Safety strategy (ISO 45001 framework)
- Create and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Act as subject matter expert on H&S legislation and compliance
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and accident investigations
- Deliver H&S training, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Drive continuous improvement in site safety and staff engagement
- Liaise with external bodies, auditors, and insurers
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar H&S role (logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution)
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001 (ISO 9001 an advantage)
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification
- Experience building or enhancing a H&S function
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
