Leading South Dublin European Road Freight Forwarder now seeks an Import/Export Administrator. Reporting to the Import/Export Manager you will be responsible for efficient planning of both network and charter shipments. Planning related activities include: groupage load planning, part loads, full loads, container loads, IMDG processing, booking ferries, and building relationships with fellow colleagues and key partners.
*Hours for this role are 11am - 8pm. Own transport is required as the office is not accessible via public transport.*
Role & responsibilities:
- Planning trailers of Groupage to/from company and partner branches in the UK and Europe
- Prepare and process DGN documentation, ensuring 100% compliance
- Booking trailers with various shipping lines depending on routing requirements
- Working with Customer Service and Customs teams for T2 shipments via UK
- Request customs paperwork from in-house customs department for non EU shipments
- Communicate any service failings to customer service team, with a proactive solution and customer focused approach
- Run daily reports to check and monitor shipment progress
- Communicate with other branches and hauliers when required
- Plan all consignments in the most cost-efficient manner
- Any adhoc tasks directed by the Import/Export Manager
Minimum requirements:
- Customer focused and able to deliver on our agreed service levels, exceeding them when required
- Appetite for learning with a positive and energetic outlook
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver both individual results, as well as contributing to team success
- Good problem solver with a clear and logical decision-making process
- Ability to respond positively to change
- Microsoft office, with good excel skills an advantage

€30,000 - €32,000 (DOE)
