Italian Roadfreight Operator

A well-established, busy Freight Forwarding company is currently seeking a European Roadfreight Operator with experience in the Italian market. You will be one of the key members looking after the Italian service, working within a small but busy operations team and will report to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with clients, hauliers, overseas offices and agents
• Managing a number of import and export trailers per week
• Responsible for communicating with customers and understanding customer requirements
• Perform administration tasks efficiently and to a high standard, in accordance with departmental requirements
• Preparation of documentation
• Ensure all queries and requests are dealt with accurately and promptly
• Maintaining files and completing financial transactions
• Working as part of a team and contributing to the efficiency of the overall department

Minimum Requirements:

• Min 4-5 years’ experience in running/controlling a roadfreight service to/from Italy.
• Knowledge/experience of doing Ametas (agent profit/loss share)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused with solid PC skills
• Organised with excellent administration skills
• Flexible and a strong team player
• Fluency within Italian would be a definite advantage
• Confident communicator with excellent communication skills – verbally & written
