Position: Liner Import Clerk

Location: Dublin 11
A leading Dublin 11-based liner agency now requires a Liner Import Clerk ideally with some Import Customs Clearance experience. Working in an established import team and reporting to the Import Manager, you will provide an efficient Import service to all customers; project and maintain a positive image of the company within the marketplace and provide documentation input and checking service.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Daily communication with customers
- Solving issues impacting import shipments
- Performing pre-entry and post-entry reviews of import documents.
- Prepare and audit import documentation for vessel shipments.
- Process commercial invoice documents by validating data integrity and accuracy.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure vessel transaction payments are made and collected timely.
- Submit timely document instructions to freight forwarders, independent surveyors and other third-party industry providers.
- Maintain import files in an organized and catalogued system.
- Processing Import Customs Clearance
- Securing receipt of customs duty and vat amounts in advance of release of cargo.
- Providing a high level of Customer Service
- Liaise with container control team on transport
- Resolve doc and admin queries in a timely manner
Minimum Requirements:
- Min 1 years in Liner or Deep Sea Imports
- Strong customer focus
- Proven ability to multi-task, work in a team and maintain files
- Excellent standard of verbal and written English
- Excellent telephone manner
- Strong IT skills in MS Office products with experience using databases
- Ability to work full-time without any visa or work permit timed restrictions.
