Our client a highly recognised Supply Chain Management company now seeks to hire a Quality Officer based in Co. Tipperary.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard, HPRA and Food Safety Policy requirements.
  • Maintain and issue changes to the Quality System, following discussion with the Site Managers/Operations Director.
  • Be responsible for the overall operation of the Quality System paying particular attention to procedures listed in Appendix 2 of the Quality Manual.
  • Act as a Responsible Person for the Company Wholesale Dealer’s Authorisation (HPRA)
  • Conduct Monthly Internal audits on an ongoing basis to assess the effectiveness of the quality system. This programme of internal audits will be circulated at the start of each year.
  • In addition to the monthly internal audits, ongoing daily quality audits will be conducted in order to assess everyday performances.
  • Monitor non-conformances on the system and review them on a monthly basis. Ensure that serious non-conformances are reported to the Site Managers.
  • Organise the annual Management Review with all relevant managers and prepare the report, giving the results of the analysis and any recommendations for change or improvement.
  • Accompany  external auditors when carrying out external quality audits, such as NSAI, HPRA or various clients and assist them as necessary.
  • Ensure that the Monthly Team Goals are being completed for each department.
  • Carry out such duties / projects as directed by the Site Managers/Operations Director.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Impressive standard of education, preferably with a relevant qualification in Quality/Health & Safety.
  • GDP/RP training is an advantage.
  • A highly self-motivated individual who has strong numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including word, excel and power point.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality is a must for this role.
  • A highly organised, adaptable, flexible, conscientious, mature and self- confident individual of integrity, with a calm but focused personality and ability to work under pressure.
  • A willing to travel and work unsociable hours is necessary.
