Our client is a leading provider of integrated quay-to-quay and door-to-door logistics solutions. The company ensures reliable, cost-effective transport that links the major economic areas of Europe. 

In order to strengthen their organisation, they are looking to expand their commercial team with a Sales Manager for Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Key Accounts, you will be based in their Dublin office and work in close collaboration with the local business unit teams in th UK and Netherlands.

Within this challenging role, you will develop the presence of the brand in Ireland and build a customer portfolio by pro-actively sourcing new customers and expanding the current accounts. 

You will be in charge of the following responsibilities:

  • Actively scan the market for business opportunities complementing the company growth strategy.
  • Cultivate new sales leads by intensive networking, representing the company at different levels (fairs, commercial representations ...) and visiting (potential) customers to sell their full services portfolio;
  • Identify and map the Irish shortsea market potential, considering the business needs as defined by the internal divisional stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Recent local market freight industry sales experience
  • A relevant logistics education would be beneficial.
  • Solid knowledge of the Irish transport industry.
  • Excellent commercial and communication skills with proven ability to close deals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Flexible professional with the correct attitude and have the ability to think outside the box;
  • Available to travel throughout Ireland and occasionally other parts of Europe;
  • A team player.
  • Fluent English and ability to work without restriction in Ireland and to travel to other European countries without any visa restrictions.
