Ocean Exports Operator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Freight Coordinator. This role is responsible for managing the smooth execution of ocean freight shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry, and maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the end-to-end movement of ocean shipments to ensure on-time delivery and service excellence
• Maintain accurate records and update shipment details in the logistics system
• Monitor and track shipments; provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international shipping regulations and company procedures
• Continuously review and suggest improvements to departmental processes to enhance efficiency
• Keep client-specific SOPs updated and adhered to in daily operations
• Maintain strong communication with overseas offices, partners, and internal teams
• Flag any delays or issues to management promptly for resolution

Ideal Candidate:

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in international logistics or ocean freight (imports or exports)
• Familiarity with ocean freight documentation and customs processes preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with customers
• Highly organised and capable of managing multiple shipments and tasks
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) and logistics software
• Dangerous Goods certification is a plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
