Our client, a leading global supply chain company based in Dublin North now seeks to hire an Ocean Freight Forwarder.
The position involves working in the ocean freight department, organising customer shipments by ocean from origins throughout the world into Ireland. The job will entail dealing with all aspects of the service – bills of lading, dealing with ocean lines and customers, organising collection of goods, invoicing, dealing with customs.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receiving and processing Bookings
- Logging Import shipments
- Updating transit reports
- Passing Vendor Invoices
- Customer Billing
- Organising deliveries
- Customer queries
- General queries and day to day tasks associated with Ocean freight
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience within a Shipping Line or Ocean Freight Forwarder is essential
- Effective Interpersonal Skills.
- Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels
- Good problem solver
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills
