Job Position

Our client, a leading, global Freight and Logistics provider, is currently looking for an ocean freight forwarder in the Shannon area. 

Duties:

• Handling shipments from booking to delivery.
• Issuing pre-Advice and then Advice of Arrival and Release Orders to the Clients.
• Arranging Customs Clearance and Delivery when required.
• Invoicing clients.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are in place for all relevant customers.
• Create and issue quotations to prospects, customers, overseas offices in line with the operational SOP.
• Accruing charges from Creditors.
• Dealing with Operations problems/queries with Overseas Offices/Partners and Clients whenever required.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience in ocean freight forwarding required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to develop relationships.
• Well organised with ability to prioritise.
• Good IT skills.

Terms:

Full time, permanent
