An experienced Ocean Freight Operator is now required by a long-established North Dublin-based multinational forwarding group. The Ocean Freight Operator will be responsible for managing and coordinating ocean freight operations, including shipment tracking, documentation preparation, arranging customs clearance, and ensuring timely delivery. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Working knowledge of Customs Clearance via Thyme-IT is a prerequisite.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in ocean freight operations, knowledge of international shipping regulations and working knowledge of Customs Clearance via Thyme-IT are a prerequisite.
- Proficiency in using freight management systems and software ideally CargoWise
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
