About the Role:
A leading Freight Forwarding company that just recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. They are looking for an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join their team. This position is for someone who can work in a fast-paced Ocean Import Department, supporting the Ocean Import Manager with various Responsibilities. We handle the importation of various cargos from around the world. No day is ever the same, whether you are looking after an LCL, FCL, RO RO shipment your day will be filled with variety. Working as part of a small team, your role will involve processing Freight Import shipments from start to finish while delivering a high level of customer service.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience in an Ocean Import position within the local market
- Knowledge of LCL, FCL, RO RO
- Experience in troubleshooting
- Exceptional customer service & organisational skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Willingness to learn and develop.
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of all aspects of Ocean Imports
- Know how to complete a Customs Clearance
- Experience with quotations, booking jobs and arranging collections and deliveries
- Timely invoicing and job accounting
- Great communicator
