Dublin 24-based Ocean Freight Forwarder now seeks an experienced Ocean Import Freight Forwarder with recent experience within FCL and or LCL freight operations to China, India, SE Asia and USA markets. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role is a home/office blended position and the client is willing to negotiate a competitive salary dependent on your experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating global LCL/FCL Ocean Freight Import shipment transport operations 
  • Agreeing rates with customers and agents
  • Generating customer invoicing and accruing supplier invoices
  • Liaising with Importers to provide Notice of Arrivals, raising Invoices for Charges due, arranging Customs Clearance and Delivery to the Importer as required (experience in completing Customs Entries is not required).
  • Liaising with Partners and Service Providers both overseas and domestically.
  • Checking and passing for payment  Partners and Service Providers Invoices.
  • Completing internal Costs/P&L Analysis Report

Requirements;

  • Minimum of 2 years recent import operations experience in Ocean Freight FCL and/or LCL 
  • Confident dealing with overseas Suppliers and Clients, arranging and monitoring Import shipments, transport and documentation. 
  • Understanding of Import Customs Clearance an advantage but not essential.
  • Demonstrate a consistently high level of customer service & professionalism.
  • Experience meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks and taking ownership for your own workload.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent organization skill

Type:
Fulltime, Permanent, Office-based role (09:00hrs to 17:00hrs Monday to Friday with some flexibility if required)
