Our client is currently seeking a production supervisor, who will report to the production manager, for their site in Cork.
Job Description:
This role will involve managing a team and ensuring smooth operations occur throughout the production process. It will also be required that the selected candidate ensures their team are adhering to the company’s Health and Safety procedures. The production supervisor is also responsible for quality control standards of products produced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for team including management of staff, management of production and quality specifications and successful operations for production processes.
- To take full responsibility for product quality achieved by your shift within your production processes ensuring standards are in line with the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures.
- Provide support and effective management and motivation to reporting staff.
- Carrying out reporting and monitor production related process performance.
- Oversee and report maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with all staff members.
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered and that meetings are held with safety reps.
- Proactively and competently respond to any issues that may arise requiring strong problem solving skills.
- Liaise with other shift supervisors to ensure smooth production handovers occur.
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained and prepared to meet current and future demands.
- Manage housekeeping standards for a clean and safe workplace.
- Maintain good timekeeping and non-absenteeism standards with shifts.
- Carryout interviews with staff returning to the workplace as required.
- Carry out reporting for any workplace incidents such as injury or near misses.
