Our client, a highly recognised engineering company in North Cork now seeks to hire a Project Engineer. The successful candidate would be reporting directly to a Program Manager. The purpose of this position is to assist the Project Managers in the planning, organisation and running of a project in order to achieve the project objectives safely and within agreed time, cost and performance criteria.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Lead a team of process and mechanical engineers.
Be responsible for design, procurement, construction and testing activities during the project.
Work closely with and drive internal teams to deliver on their specific project objective.
Ensure that the system is delivered punctually, cost-effectively, to specification and meeting the highest quality standards.
Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors in satisfying our customers’ expectations.
A particular focus on the commercial effect of project decisions will be paramount.
Monitor and report on project progress and identify and manage any risks to the project’s schedule or commercial objectives.
Requirements:
2-5 years’ experience in similar role in related industry
BEng in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, Chemical Engineering or similar
Mechanical and process engineering experience, ideally in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other regulated industry an advantage
Must have strong MS Office skills
Good telephone, oral and written communication skills in English (including experience in dealing with clients and vendors)
Excellent, interpersonal, and organisational skills
Must possess good attention to detail and flexibility of approach
Must work well as part of a team Must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet strict deadlines
Must be able to work under one’s own initiative and to actively contribute to a multi-disciplined project team
