We are currently seeking an experienced Rigid Driver (Category C) to join our growing transport team based in Little Island. This is a local Cork route, covering city centre and county deliveries.
This role suits a reliable, professional driver who is comfortable with multi-drop deliveries and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Complete local deliveries and collections across Cork city and county
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and accurately
- Load and unload vehicle safely (palletised goods and some manual handling)
- Maintain all delivery paperwork and PODs
- Use digital tachograph in line with regulations
- Provide a high level of customer service at delivery points
- Adhere to all road safety and company compliance standards
Requirements (Essential)
- Full Category C Driving Licence (clean licence preferred)
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC card)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1–2 years rigid driving experience
- Experience in multi-drop or local delivery work
- Good knowledge of Cork routes (city & county)
- Strong understanding of driving hours and compliance regulations
- Good level of spoken and written English
