We are currently seeking a Road Freight Forwarder to join a busy logistics and transport operation based in Shannon. This role will involve coordinating domestic and international road freight shipments, liaising with customers and hauliers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international road freight shipments
- Arrange collections, deliveries, and transport scheduling
- Liaise with customers, hauliers, and overseas agents
- Prepare and manage shipping and customs documentation
- Track shipments and resolve operational issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with transport and customs regulations
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and customer updates
- Provide high levels of customer service throughout the shipment process
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience within freight forwarding, transport, or logistics
- Experience coordinating road freight shipments
- Knowledge of customs and transport documentation
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
