We are working with a leading logistics company with an extensive network of partners across the UK, Europe, and globally, including key partners in Switzerland, Turkey, China, and other continents. They are proud members of one of Europe’s largest groupage networks, and can offer unparalleled services across Europe’s largest freight companies, ensuring comprehensive and efficient logistics solutions for their clients.

They are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Business Developer to join our team at their South Dublin site. The ideal candidate will have extensive local market experience in sales for European road freight, focusing on full loads and groupage. You will leverage their powerful package of services and extensive partner network to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in European road freight, including full loads and groupage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and stay ahead in the market.
  • Work closely with our partner depots in the UK and Europe, as well as key partners worldwide, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record in sales for European road freight, with a focus on full loads and groupage. Experience in import and export logistics is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the road freight industry, including familiarity with air and sea freight.
  • Established network of contacts within the industry, preferably with existing clients and business leads.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidates with an existing portfolio of clients or previous business contacts have an advantage.

Terms: 
Full time permanent

Package: 
€60-120k basic, car/allowance and performance-based rewards and incentives.
