A leading logistics provider now requires an experienced Freight Sales Executive on a permanent basis. The Sales Executive is responsible for organising and performing day to day sales meetings with potential new customers on behalf of the Freight Forwarding department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating weekly lead visits.
- Presenting company services/products to customers
- Providing rates to potential customers
- Contacting relevant suppliers from time to time to gather prices or service information.
- Feeding relevant findings back to Business Development Managers
- Reporting back on a weekly basis to the relevant manager on the progress
- Administration-follow up on a weekly basis
Skills required:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Previous experience in European Road freight is an advantage
- Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone
- Fluent English both written and spoken essential
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Well organised, self-motivated, and a Good communicator
- Good social and personal skills
