Due to continued growth and expansion, our client, an Irish-owned logistics services provider, is looking for an experienced Senior level Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role and will report directly to the Head of Commercial Development. The role will require a minimum of one day in location (hybrid position).
Responsibilities:
• In conjunction with the Head of Commercial Development, manage, scale, and grow Partner & Agent relationships in line with company strategy.
• Proactively identify and manage a constant pipeline of potential new customers that meet or exceed established targets via prospecting, networking, and referral activities.
• Via calls/meetings, develop and build relationships with key decision makers and C-Suite representatives involved in prospective opportunities.
• Organize regular meetings with key clients to evaluate performance and receive updates on challenges and future plans.
• Establish relationships with strategic customers with decision-making authority to understand their business requirements and develop additional opportunities.
• Achieve set monthly and annual sales and margin targets.
• Accurately record meeting/calls/email activities using CRM.
Qualifications:
• Proven "business-to-business" sales experience in the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.
• Minimum of 3-5 years within a sales role.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Strong influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
• High attention to detail with the ability to quickly become a key authority on our services and business proposition.
• Demonstrated sales success and knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and other applications.
• Full clean driving license.
