A large multi-site logistics company now require an experienced Senior Finance Administrator. Reporting to the CFO, this is a newly defined role within the finance department, designed to own the day-to-day financial administration and transactional processing of the business. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, is comfortable working across multiple currencies and markets, and can operate effectively within a growing SME environment.
Key Responsibilities;
- Own the day-to-day transactional processing including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Manage multi-currency billing across GBP and EUR markets
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policy
- Process payroll inputs and liaise with payroll providers across Irish and UK entities
- Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and on time, including storage, fulfilment, and carrier-related charges
- Reconcile carrier rate cards (including third-party courier integrations) against billing outputs
- Manage credit control and follow up on outstanding debts in a professional and timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and finance reports for the CFO
- Support VAT returns and statutory filing requirements across Irish and UK jurisdictions
- Maintain organised financial documentation and support audit preparation
- Work within existing finance and operational tech stack, contributing to ongoing automation and efficiency improvements
- Liaise with external accountants, carriers, and suppliers as required
- Flag anomalies, cost variances, and process gaps to the CFO proactively
Experience, Education & Skills:
- 3+ years of recent experience in a finance administration, accounts, or bookkeeping role ideally within a logistics, 3PL, fulfilment, or ecommerce business
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) — not essential but advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Comfortable working across multi-currency environments (EUR and GBP)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in accounting software (Xero, Sage, or equivalent)
- Strong MS Excel / Google Sheets capability
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear and professional communication skills — written and verbal
