Our client, a leading Freight Forwarder now requires a Senior Freight Sales Exec to join their team in North Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Set No of Customer Visits per week to gain New Business
- Build on relationships with visits to Existing Customers once every 3 months
- Identifying new Prospects to gain New Business in Air and Ocean Shipments
- Primary focus on Air Shipments
- Identifying New Lanes with Existing Customers
- Lead Generation – Taking note of companies in Business Parks & attending Expo’s
- Industries to target, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Agricultural and Retail
- Follow up on Quotes to acquire Sales / Feedback
- Build relationships and communicate with company Offices and Agents Worldwide.
- Calculate Rates and Prepare Proposals for Presentations
- Work as part of a Sales Team and prepare Quotes and Book up Shipments for all Customers
- Input Sales and Visits into First Freight
- Prepare Reports weekly/monthly for Sales Manager.
- Maintain a High level of Customer Service and respond to Quotations in a timely manner.
- Time Management – plan day/week/month with Efficiency
- Providing Solutions for Time/Temperature Sensitive Shipments
Skills:
- At least 3 Years of industry sales experience
- Strategic leadership ability
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
- Effective planning, organisational and monitoring skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as working effectively with a team.
Training
- Induction Training – Commencement of Employment
- GDP Annual Refresher Training – Annual or as and when required.
- IS EN ISO 9001:2015 QMS Training – Relevant Dept SOP Training
- Department of Transport ACSP Training – Annual or as Required
- DG (IATA) Dangerous Goods Training – Annual or as Required
