Construction relation manufacturer now requires a Senior Logistics Administrator for their Depot in County Meath. Working in a high-performance and profitable business unit supporting both Irish and UK-based customers. The Senior Logistics Administrator will assist in the supervision and coordination of the shipping team and processes, leading on the highest service standards to our customers, ensuring effective communication with the team and employing the best safety practices

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Planning and organizing the team, monitoring, and controlling day to day activities and driving a continuous improvement mindset  
  • Lead the team to maintain the highest customer service standards, maintain effective customer engagement and “delivery in full on time” approach 
  • Monitor and react, to correct KPI which are outside the set tolerances - order dates, order comments, phone calls, order maintenance  
  • Ensure that orders are progressed in a timely manner and planned for delivery in a realistic time frame to meet customer needs 
  • Reviewing daily outputs and team performance  
  • Report to the Sales and Shipping Manager on HS&E, Quality, and performance 
  • Working with Yard managers to ensure order fulfillment in a timely manner 
  • Working with Sales team on customer requirements, enquiries, and complaints 
  • Responsible for query resolution in respect of service - delivery related issues 
  • Liaise with Account Managers daily to review sales in order to maximise load and route planning 
  • Ensure the effective utilization of available fleet, number of loads per day/week and management of multi drops 
  • Identify and escalate team training needs to the Transport manager 
  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory/team lead position within a Distribution or Transport company. 
  • A recognised supervisory management qualification is desirable. 
  • Strong, process, system and IT knowledge

Terms: 

  • Full time permanent
  • Hours: 8am-5:30pm Mon to Thurs, 8am-5pm Fri
  • OT: 1.5 (OT Paid before 8am and after 4:30pm)
