Job Position

North Dublin based Ocean Freight company now seek to hire a 3rd level Supply Chain Management graduate for a Trainee Ocean Freight Clerk position. Reporting to the General Manager and as part of a small team you will be trained in the following;

• Handling LCL shipment from booking to delivery.
• Reporting containers to the Bond. 
• Arranging transport ex. quay to the Bonded Depot. 
• Issuing pre-Advice and then Advice of Arrival and Release Orders to the Clients. 
• Arranging Customs Clearance and Delivery when required. 
• Invoicing the Clients. 
• Accruing charges from Creditors. 
• Dealing with Operations problems/queries with Overseas Offices/Partners and Clients whenever required.
• Other duties as deemed necessary from your manager

Minimum Requirements:

• Recent 3rd level Supply Chain Management graduate or a min 6 months recent import Ocean freight experience
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
• Ability to develop relationships on the telephone
• Well organised with ability to prioritise
• Good IT kills especially on Excel

Terms:

Full time permanent
