Job Position

International freight company based in Dublin South now wish to hire an experienced Transport Clerk with experience within a high volume operation. You will effectively carry out duties so as to ensure that the Transport Department performs efficiently and effectively to provide a high-quality standard of service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all incoming calls from internal and external customers are handled in professional and speedy manner.
• Assist in Driver Debrief.
• Liaise with Drivers and ensure quick response to their enquiries.
• Assist with Depot ‘Drop-ins’ for customers shipment / collection of goods.
• Ensure all COD’s have been collected by the drivers and processed.
• To ensure that all POD’s are received and updated on the system daily.
• Ensure all operations reports are completed and updated daily within agreed KPI’s.
• Assist in the Warehouse when required.
• General Transport office duties.

Person Specification:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role essential;
• Relevant experience in a similar industry desirable;
• Strong communication and administrative skills required;
• Ability to work on own initiative;
• Ability to work to deadlines.

Terms:
Permanent, Full-time 

Note: Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week; 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. These hours may be subject to change due to operational demands. Also you will be required to work beyond the standard hours when needed. Flexibility in this regard will be a requirement of the role.
