As a Transport Planner, you will play a central role in supporting the daily operation, ensuring customers receive excellent service and reliable delivery performance. Based in Dublin 17, this role requires candidates who can commit to a Sunday–Thursday shift pattern, working 40 hours per week between either 07:00–15:00 or 09:00–17:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers to meet both current and anticipated operational requirements, ensuring service expectations are consistently achieved.
- Respond to customer queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Manage transport resources in accordance with operational and budgetary requirements, including shift rota planning to maintain service levels.
- Plan and coordinate operational resources to optimise labour and equipment utilisation while effectively managing forecasted volumes.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across teams and shifts to ensure operational consistency and high standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support process enhancement initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Transport Planner role.
- Previous experience working within a multi-customer, customer-focused operation.
- Proven ability to plan and manage operational resources effectively.
- Strong knowledge of drivers’ hours regulations and the Working Time Directive (WTD).
- National and/or International CPC qualification desirable.
