
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our client in Dublin 17 as a Transport Planner. The role will offer a great pathway into logistics with hands-on training and a great team. It’s an exciting time to join.
As a Transport Planner, you will execute the plan, organise and manage the work of drivers and their routes. This will ensure the work will be completed in accordance with organisational requirements and reach the customer on time and in perfect condition.
This role will involve fully debriefing Drivers to ensure the highest level of customer care. A key element of the role is monitoring all routes and escalating any issues appropriately.
Shift Patterns Available: 37.5 hrs per week - any 5 out of 7 - Day shift
Duties & Responsibilities
- Brief and debriefing Drivers
- Domestic Route planning
- Communicating with colleagues – being first point of contact for all drivers and ensuring all queries are fed back to
- Immediate problem resolution whilst on shift
- Accountable for Legal o-licence compliance and for Operational excellence ie cost and service including Peak planning/delivery
- Providing the highest level of customer care and finding resolutions/ escalation of live issues
- Building good working relationships internally and externally
- The monitoring of all routes ensuring all routes are running on time and escalating to the Team Manager on shift where appropriate
- Kronos exceptions & Schedules
- Effective time management to ensure the job is completed within the set time frame provided
- Monitoring Drivers hours to ensure we are compliant at all times.
- Any other duties advised by your manager.
- Conduct yourself in way that is aligned to the company vision and values
- Conduct Daily administration tasks in relation to payroll systems, payroll queries holidays etc
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in Transport planning - essential
- Experience of administration in a busy transport environment
- Experience in dealing with driver hours/tachos regulations etc - essential
- PC literate with word and excel experience
- Numerate
- Good verbal and written communication
- Great attention to detail
- Hold strong interpersonal skills
Terms:
Full Time / Permanent position
Shift Patterns Available: 37.5 hrs per week - any 5 out of 7 - Day shift

- Approx €40,300
