A long-established and respected North Dublin-based Customs Clearance Specialist is now seeking an experienced Import Customs Broker. The company are proud of the dedicated team that supports their regular clients who remain loyal due to their expertise in customs and trade compliance. The position is available due to growth in their client base and you will join a number of experienced brokers who will make every effort to ensure you will receive the support you require to be a success in the role.
Core Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 years Import Customs Clearance is required in a busy Irish freight forwarder or customs department with working knowledge of SAD entries, multiple licence entries, quotas and BTI’s.
- You must understand the SAD entry, have knowledge of each box, the logic and calculation of values, along with the repercussions for inaccurate data.
- You must be confident in maintaining regular telephone contact with customers, agents, and Revenue to resolve queries and requests for further information.
- The client utilises Thyme IT as their customs software so knowledge of this is an advantage.
- The client will require you to complete a questionnaire on your customs experience, which will accompany your application.
Due to the complexity of customs clearance, the client is not considering the following;
- Trainee's or Express Parcel clearance brokers
- Customs agents who are used to data sets being automatically entered via their system or partners' EDI upload (entry details are manually entered and validated to ensure accuracy)
- Customs agents who rely on templates or who regularly copy entries.
- Customs agents who only process clearances for one specific technology-based key customer account.
