A long-established and respected Freight Specialist based in North Dublin is now seeking to hire an experienced Van Driver (B Licence) for the 11am to 7pm shift. The primary purpose of the role is to handle consignments ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies and to work with the operations team to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform daily collections & deliveries to airports nationwide.
- Perform both the recovery of consignments from inbound flights & tender of outbound consignments for export.
- Ensure all consignments are collected / delivered in conjunction with, pick-up windows / delivery deadlines.
- Liaising with the operations team via telephone to communicate milestone information.
- Develop & maintain good working relationships with all clients.
- Maintain personal standards of discipline in regards to Start and Finish time, Uniform and Appearance, Vehicle Cleanliness and Vehicle Maintenance.
- Keep the operations team advised of potential & confirmed issues as they arise.
- Ensure Quality Control procedures are adhered to for compliance and effectiveness
- Report ineffective procedures to the respective Manager.
- Adhere to all Company Policies, at all times
Minimum Requirements:
- Full clean B Category drivers licence
- Manual handling certified
- Experience driving vans nationwide in Ireland adhering to tight deadlines
- Good communicator with fluent English
- Reliable with an excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
- Ability to work in a full-time and permanent role, unrestricted by any visa time constraints
Please Note:
A five year background check is required for Aviation Security Clearance. This includes all periods of employment and education regardless of duration or nature. A complete set of references covering exact dates spanning the last 5 years must be achieved. Gaps exceeding 28 days are not permitted and must be evidenced. If you cannot provide this information then we cannot consider you for the position.
Terms:
Full-time permanent, 11:00 - 19.00 Hrs Mon –Fri, with occasional requirement for a few hours at the weekend (approx 1 in 4 weekends)
Package:
€29,250 (approx €15 per hour)
