Package: €55,000 - €60,000, 22-day Annual Leave, Pension

You will be the "Engine Room" of our daily operations, serving as the driving force behind all warehouse and distribution activities. You are responsible for leading a team of 20+ to ensure that 300+ daily orders are dispatched with 100% accuracy. This role requires a leader who balances high-speed operational output with a commitment to long-term staff development.

Be a part of a wider dynamic project team that will manage the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and identify opportunities for automation to future-proof our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence (The "Driving Force")

  • Daily Dispatch: Oversee the full outbound cycle to meet a daily target of 300+ B2B orders.
  • Maintain a 99% order accuracy standard through robust picking and packing verification processes.
  • Workflow Management: Plan daily shifts and resource allocation to handle seasonal spikes and urgent wholesale requests.

Team Development & Frameworks

  • Multi-Skilled Framework: Implement and manage a cross-training matrix, ensuring every team member is proficient in at least three core warehouse functions (e.g., Goods-In, Bendi, Dispatch).
  • Training Mandate: Execute a personal development plan for each staff member, ensuring a minimum of 20 hours of formal training per year.
  • Coaching: Conduct regular 1-to-1s to identify "star employees" and provide a clear pathway for internal promotion.

 Develop Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • OTIF (On-Time In-Full): Achieve a consistent 98% success rate.
  • Absenteeism: Proactively manage the team to keep total absenteeism below 3%.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain 99.5%+ stock record accuracy through a rigorous cycle-counting regime.
  • Own the Employee Retention Rate as a core management KPI (Target: >90%).

Culture & Mindset

  • You are expected to build a culture where employees feel like "owners" of the process rather than just staff.
  • Psychological Safety: Create a "non-punitive" environment where staff feel safe to report mistakes immediately so they can be learned from, not hidden.
  • Recruiting and Retention of Team Members - Creating a culture of belonging and recognition.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure the facility is fully compliant with H&S regulations, managing equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Liaise and build relationships with other functional leads in the business.
  • Skilfully mediate disputes between team members, aiming for "win-win" outcomes.
  • Use emotional intelligence to handle high-pressure situations without triggering defensive reactions from the team.
  • Address performance issues or "unsafe behaviours" immediately and objectively.

Communication:

  • Establish clear, two-way communication channels with all stakeholders.
  • Deliver concise daily updates on warehouse efficiencies
  • Listen actively to team feedback to identify and remove workflow bottlenecks.
