You will use your people management skills to drive continuous improvement and encourage efficiencies to provide the best in class service to our customers. The work can be physically demanding, and you will be required to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in cramped or dusty spaces. You must also be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Basic Requirements:
- You will have a minimum of 2+ years experience as a Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems
- Strong people management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent flexibility and adaptability in management style
- Proven experience developing and implementing process improvement initiatives in line with best practices
- Forklift license and manual handling certificate
- Use of Bailers
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-starter with a flexible attitude and an ability to work to deadlines
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Physical stamina to lift/carry 50kgs or more repeatedly throughout the day
- Can do attitude! Initiative and problem-solving daily!
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding and experience of all aspects of the company's sales and support process
- Lead the Warehouse team/ Removals Crew to deliver objectives and best-in-class service to our customers
- Manage dispatch storage order queries, responsible for goods receiving, regular counting, packing and inventory checks.
- Set team objectives & targets, monitor and provide feedback on performance on an ongoing basis
- Checking on items/shipments brought into/out of the Warehouse/ Storage Facility. All items must be labelled, documents filled out and presented to the office.
- Managing Removals Crews.
- Manage company vehicles - maintenance, cleanliness and conditions daily.
- Reviewing existing work processes and implementing smarter ways of working where necessary
- Undertake continuous improvement initiatives and challenge processes
- Monitor and maintain stock
- Carry out all tasks in line with standard operating procedures and adhere to all company compliance requirements
- Ensure appropriate risk management plans are in place to support business continuity
- Maintain warehouse to an appropriate level of cleanliness and in line with good health and safety practice
