Warehouse Operative

A renowned global freight, logistics and supply chain solution company is searching for a Warehouse Operative to join their very experienced team. Our highly experienced team has worked together for more than 25 years, designing and developing efficient, technology-driven solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Handle products safely and efficiently to minimise damage or delays
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
• Assist with inventory counts and audits
• Sort, label, and store items in designated locations according to inventory protocols

Requirements: 

• Physical strength, fitness, and dexterity, as the role often involves lifting heavy packages or working at elevated heights
• Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with warehouse colleagues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy, including experience with scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills to coordinate large volumes of goods
• Honesty, trustworthiness, and reliability
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain roles
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence and manual handling certification (advantageous but not essential)
