Job Position

Specialist IT company based in South Dublin now seek to hire a Warehouse Operative. Initially working in a small warehouse, you will be trained on the company's procedures and products. The company have a history of facilitating internal promotion for the right individuals so you will have the opportunity to move into an internal sales position in
time (approx 2 years) if you demonstrate the aptitude and attributes they require. Reporting to the Logistics Manager your key responsibilities and duties will include;

● Facilitate all inward and outbound stock movements following company procedures, and using IT (SAP) systems where appropriate
● Pick, pack and label goods in an efficient, timely and safe manner as well as preparing dispatch/shipping documentation
● Affix asset tags to equipment
● Actively maintain and improve housekeeping throughout working hours ensuring that stored goods are kept tidily and in the correct place, using mechanical handling equipment where appropriate in accordance with company procedures.
● Ensure that with all aspects of Health & Safety policies and procedures are complied with in all daily activities.
● Contribute to the effective operation of the operation by supporting other staff in meeting Customer Service levels.
● Ensuring the efficient utilisation of space and use of mechanical handling equipment, ensuring quality, KPI targets and environmental objectives are met;
● Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these;
● Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where utilised;
● Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy;

Minimum requirements:

● Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent education
● Min 2 years work experience ideally within a similar environment.
● Strong IT skills with the confidence and past ability to learn new systems
● Flexibility to work within a changing working environment
● Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
● A genuine interest in technology and hardware
● Open to learning new skills and receiving training

Terms:
Permanent

Package:
€23k rising to €26k after six months and €28k after a year.
