A leading independent global freight forwarder based in Dublin 15 and Cork, now seek an experienced Air Freight Business Development Executive to focus on identifying and acquiring new business for our established worldwide airfreight services. The hybrid role can be based out of either their Dublin 15 or Cork facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary function is to identify and secure new business in line with the overall company strategy via face-to-face visits
  • Develop an in-depth product knowledge of the services offered by the company
  • Responsible for obtaining own appointments with prospective pre-qualified clients
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets in line with the overall company strategy   
  • Independently drive new business negotiations
  • Be -informed about current industry trends and competitor activity    
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, presentations, seminars and trade shows
  • Prepare written presentations, reports and quotations
  • Complete Weekly sales visit planner and monthly Sales report, ensuring new prospects are being added to the sales pipeline  
  • Reporting Directly to Country Director  

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 2-3 years experience within the local Air Freight sector  
  • Commercial awareness
  • The ability to achieve agreed sales targets in line with the overall company strategy
  • The ability to develop new customers with excellent closing skills
  • Highly motivated individual and self-starter
  • Good business acumen
  • The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Outstanding verbal, written, planning, organisation and presentation skills
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Valid drivers license 

Terms:
Fulltime, Permanent
