Position: Inventory Manager
Location: Dublin 24 (Dublin South)

Our client is a leading distributor of products and services to the kitchen, electrical and building materials industries in Ireland are seeking to recruit an Inventory Manager for their busy operation in Dublin 24. Our client distributes a number of exclusive premium brands. This role will report to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall ownership for all inventory held at the Citywest Distribution Centre and other external locations.
  • Responsible for inbound stock planning.
  • Carry out quarterly SKU rationalisation reviews and make changes where required.
  • Analyse and maintain the held inventory orders weekly.
  • Proactively highlight ageing stock issues and implement corrective action.
  • Lead stock rationalisation projects.
  • Manage and coordinate end-of-year stock count.
  • Review customer backorder reports with a view to removing any inaccuracies.
  • Manage the supplier returns process for damaged and warranty products.
  • Ensure that all inventory is classified in the correct depot.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Customer Experience Manager and Purchasing & Demand Planning Manager to review and improve processes as required.

Key Attributes:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • High numerical accuracy.
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Passion for accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Work on own initiative.
  • Product knowledge of kitchen and/or electrical appliance industry a distinct advantage.
  • Customer-focused and driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • IT literate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Team Structure: This role will report to the Operations Director. The candidate will work closely with our Warehouse Manager and Demand Planning Manager
Working Hours:  8.30 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch
Salary: €35,000 - €40,000, (DOE)
