This position involves working in the ocean freight department, organising customer shipments by ocean to and from Ireland, from/to Origins throughout the world.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive booking, check rates/costs at time of booking receipt to ensure accuracy and correct handling
- Monitor the booking, at all times through shipping line tracking systems
- Organising Transport on shipments as required
- Send booking confirmation to customer to confirm all details on the booking.
- Issue Customs documentation.
- Invoice the file and update accruals in full
- Solve Accounts Queries in a timely manner by email or phone, fast turnaround required
- Address all customer communications within a short time frame
- Ensuring any customer reports are updated and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all file documentation is boxed and filed appropriately once complete
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years Ocean Freight experience
- Detailed Knowledge of Irish Customs Procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels
- Ability to motivate and work in a fast-moving, pressurized environment
- Previous experience with Word, Excel, Windows, Email & other PC based Software
