People Operations Manager / Employee Engagement  

My client, a superior global 3rd & 4th party logistics services specialist, is now seeking an experienced People Operations Manager for a unique role on-site with a large global customer based in Dublin city centre. An experienced HR Business Partner or Manager who is passionate about Employee engagement & retention is ideal for this role.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Employee Relations work is focused on promoting a positive workplace environment through employee communication and engagement including:

Employee Experience & Engagement:

  • Implementing measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover (e.g., employee engagement surveys, work lifestyle programs, on-boarding programs, succession planning, diversity and inclusion programs and training, etc.)
  • Coaching managers and employees through the performance management process
  • Conducting training sessions for managers to improve employee relations and people skills
  • Identifies innovative solutions to maximize organizational design, execute change management initiatives, increase employee engagement, and drive progress on business priorities
  • Identifies and researches potential risks associated with organizational changes and work with the Legal department to mitigate/manage these risks
  • Develop recognition platforms
  • Build a culture of feedback (feedback system programming)
  • Promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Employment Branding:

  • Identify trends, data and critical factors that impact candidate flow
  • Lead talent acquisition strategy and custom approaches that help bring new talent into the company globally
  • Leverage data and measures of ROI to develop and implement effective niche solutions
  • Partner with leadership to recommend attraction and operational strategies tailored to meet specific needs
  • Create a climate where people are motivated to do their best work
  • Develops talent to meet both career goals and organizational goals

General

  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations
  • Work closely with branches and corporate legal teams to ensure onsite personnel comply with all company policies
  • Responsible for the management, administration, staffing and development of all onsite employees and programs in the region
  • Managing employee relations issues (e.g., investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance, mediation between employees, monitoring diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance, etc.)
  • HR-specific communications (e.g., employment terms and conditions, company codes of conduct, workforce reductions, etc.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for region

Minimum Requirements and skills:

  • BA/BS preferably in (I/O) Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Business, Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in employee engagement and improvement
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in workplace behaviours
  • 2+ years in a leadership position within people operations of a large multi-site team
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
  • Knowledge of  regulations and compliance requirements related to employee relations 

Terms:        Full time, Permanent

Salary:       Negotiable basic annual salary, 7.5% Pension, Healthcare & Dental plan, bonus, etc…
