As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures and maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation.

We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, efficient, and organised individual, who can work well as part of a team but also able to work on his/her own when necessary. Dynamic, you have excellent time management skills, an ability to prioritise and work quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors
  • Review purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications with those vendors
  • Manage the process for supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers
  • Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies
  • Providing assistance and support to the sales team when required
  • Stock inventory control
  • Purchase order forecasts
  • Goods receipt processing
  • Attend monthly stock meetings with management

What we are looking for:

  • Third level qualification; preferably in Purchasing or Business
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience in a purchasing role in a busy environment
  • IT proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and in particular Excel
  • Willing to learn and show initiative
  • Previous experience dealing with manufacturers in China
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

Package:

  • Salary: €40,000 - €50,000
  • 20 Days Hols
  • Pension
  • 1 weeks’ pay discretionary bonus
