Our client, a Cork based General Mechanical Services Contractor, with specialist experience in the construction of HVAC systems and Cleanrooms servicing clients in the Pharmaceutical, Food, and IT Sectors, are currently hiring Senior Project Engineers for sites in Cork, Kildare and Sligo..

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery and management of HVAC and Cleanroom installations on multiple sites within the pharma, biopharma, and IT areas.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Overall management of project delivery to the satisfaction of all stakeholders including determination and definition of the scope of work and project deliverables.
  • Project scheduling and progress reporting and resource deployment.
  • Procurement of resources, equipment and materials, subcontractors, and personnel for seamless project delivery.
  • Project commercial management, cost control and cost recovery for contract and variation works.
  • Successful management of the client’s expectations and procurement of follow-on works.
  • Provision of monthly project reports to project director.
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
  • Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Management of HSQE on site.
  • Raising and managing RFI’s.
  • Manage labour tracker.
  • Maintaining progress reports weekly.
  • Report and manage any changes/variations with the QS on the project.
  • Resourcing - responsible for direct and specialist sub-contractors
  • Liaison with both Design and Construction professionals
  • Liaison with main contractors and the client-based site team
  • Coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment
  • Update program gains/losses

 

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or other applicable discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry. Experience from pharma or biopharma is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time across diverse groups and stakeholders while optimizing solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and BIM with the ability to generate detailed monthly reports.
  • Conscientious, with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent English.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
  • Strong leadership and management skills.

Permanent, Full time, Site-based, Monday-Friday, normalised office hours

 

Package: 
 

An attractive remuneration package upwards of €55,000, commensurate with relevant experience, is on offer.
