Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Meath, is looking to hire a Transport Manager to join their fast-moving team. This role will focus on managing and organising all aspects of the transport operations both in Ireland and the UK. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport planning, including annual budgets, transport/delivery fees, weekly and monthly reporting and continuous improvement on an ongoing basis.
- Overseeing the day-to-day vehicle management, route planning for collections and deliveries to and from Ireland and the UK, and also national and international customers and suppliers.
- Overseeing all ocean freight imports and exports.
- Ensuring full compliance with all customs regulations both nationally and internationally
- Ensuring full compliance with all RSA requirements and that all vehicles are kept compliant with RSA standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Transport Manager CPC certification essential
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Logistics and Transport
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and ability to work with a wide range of both internal and external contacts.
- Experience in the development and implementation of cost control systems.
- Strong attention to detail, commercially astute, analytical and high degree of numeracy.
- Have experience in completing import & export documentation now required for importing and exporting via the United Kingdom
- IT literate and able to work with Excel, PowerPoint, Fleet Management Systems etc.

€50,000-€60,000 DOE
